Plot

Ip Man's tranquil existence in Foshan is disrupted when Gong Yutian searches for a successor to uphold his family's martial legacy. During this quest, Ip encounters Gong Er, who confronts him in a duel to restore her family's honor. Following the turmoil of the Second Sino-Japanese War, Ip relocates to Hong Kong, facing challenges in supporting his family. Meanwhile, Gong Er embarks on a quest for revenge after her father's murder at the hands of Ma San, leading both characters down paths of honor, loss, and retribution.
