Ann Dusenberry, born on September 13, 1953, is an accomplished actress in film, television, and theatre from the United States. Her passion for performing arts was ignited in her childhood at the local YWCA in Tucson, Arizona, where she studied classical theatre with Mary MacMurtrie and participated in biannual productions until the age of 14. Ann pursued her education in theatre arts at Occidental College in Los Angeles, where she gained valuable experience through eight years of summer repertory theatre. After earning her bachelorās degree, she ventured into Hollywood and successfully secured a contract with Universal Studios, where she became a familiar face on numerous television shows from 1976 to 1980, such as āRemington Steeleā, āSimon and Simonā, āMurder She Wroteā, and āMatlockā.
During her time with Universal, Ann starred in the mini-series āLittle Womenā and appeared in several TV films. She was also cast in āJaws IIā and worked on projects like āCutterās Wayā alongside Jeff Bridges and āHeartbeatā with Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek. Her role as Lucille Ball's daughter in āLife with Lucyā is particularly noteworthy.
After relocating to Santa Barbara, Ann returned to academia, earning her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ann has taken an active role in youth theatre, directing and producing various productions at the Waldorf School. Currently, she serves as the Artistic Director of Actorsā Conservatory Theatre in Santa Barbara, where she continues to inspire aspiring young actors.
