Ediz Hun, born on November 22, 1940, is a celebrated Turkish film actor and former politician. Following his education at Istanbul’s St. George's Austrian High School, he pursued a degree in Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Trondheim in Norway. His entry into cinema came after winning a contest organized by *Ses* (The Voice) magazine, which caught the attention of film producers. He made his screen debut in 1963 with *Genç Kızlar* (Young Girls), starring opposite Hülya Koçyiğit. Hun became a household name, often appearing in over ten films annually, and is especially remembered for his iconic on-screen partnership with Filiz Akın.

In his personal life, Hun married socialite Berna on March 3, 1973, following a widely publicized romance. The couple has two children: daughter Bengü (born 1974) and son Burak (born 1981). Transitioning from acting to academia, he began lecturing at Marmara University in 1985. Later, he entered politics, serving as a member of parliament for the Motherland Party (Anavatan Partisi) from 1999 to 2002. Hun’s career spans decades of cinematic achievement and public service, cementing his legacy in Turkish culture.
