Mace Phoenix is a young actor of rich, multicultural heritage—French, Armenian, German, Irish, and Romany Gypsy—who calls London home. His foundation in performance was built at the renowned Chickenshed Theatre, where he spent much of his youth appearing in over 180 public shows alongside children from all walks of life.
In 2018, Mace made his stage debut in two productions by beloved children’s author David Walliams: *The Midnight Gang* and *Mr Stink*. Two years later, writer-director Kyle Misak brought him to Chicago for his first American role in the Cannes-winning short film *The Autumn Girl*.
A major turning point came in 2021 when Mace was cast by Verity Naughton as Young Leo—the child lead—in Sir Tom Stoppard’s Olivier and Tony Award-winning play *Leopoldstadt*, directed by Patrick Marber. He later understudied the same role for the National Theatre Live filmed version.
Mace’s screen work includes the lead role of Danny in *Crosshairs*, which premiered at Hollywood’s Hollyshorts Film Festival, and a gritty turn as bully Roscoe in the NFTS film *Bandits*, a double nominee at the British Short Film Awards 2023. He also portrayed Holocaust survivor Irving Roth in an emotionally demanding production that earned an ECU nomination.
In 2025, Mace appeared in *A Thousand Blows* (No. 1 on Disney+), directed by Ashley Walters and starring BAFTA winner Malachi Kirby. His credits also include a Rightmove commercial opposite Jonathan Nyati, which garnered over 6.6 million views.
When not acting, Mace is likely on a basketball court, always up for a game.
